Ciena (CIEN) is buying Nortel's optical networking and carrier ethernet businesses for $390M plus 10M shares. Ciena says the acquisition will accelerate its growth strategy by 2-3 years, and sees integration costs of $180M. CIEN +2.6% premarket. (PR)
