  They are made in the USA (Texas, to be exact). But honestly, who would expect tundra to last long in the San Antonio sun?

  I can but remember just a few months ago when Toyota was held up as all that was right with an auto manufacturer and how in part this was because of their non union workforce and their celebrated business model. In the months that have past since this celebration, Toyota has taken government money (Japans), experienced their first losses in years and face recalls and safety issues that could rival Ford's exploding gas tanks of years gone by. Are we seeing cracks in the armor?

  Sun does not normally cause corrosion in frames of trucks. Perhaps with that name, they are cold weather only trucks, so I guess global warming is causing the frames to corrode.

  How can you screw up a floormat? When you see stories like that, read: Class-action lawsuit preparation, not faulty floormats.

  Who makes the frames? My son's 2 Hyundais had exactly the same problem. I wonder if there is a connection? My wife's Subaru has the floor mat problem - it creeps up under the gas pedal and can cause it to stick.
