  • If you can track appetite for bank stocks from regulatory filings: Three months ago, Paulson & Co. had zero shares of Citigroup (C). At September's end, it had 300M shares (now valued at nearly $1.5B), joining its earlier move into Bank of America (BAC).

    Not surprising since back in February he told potential investors that he had accumulated several billion dollars' worth of debt issued by Citigroup, on the premise that he believed US government policy was that Citigroup was TBTF.
