Sen. Dodd casts doubt over whether Elizabeth Warren can win Senate support as the first director of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection if she’s nominated. On the same NPR show, deputy Treasury secretary Neal Wolin tries to dispel reports that Geithner was working to prevent Warren's nomination.

She's smarter than Dodd or Timothy and knows their tricks - they definitely do not want her in the position.

They'll probably see if they can lure Hank Paulson off his tropical island but I doubt he budges.

They'll find someone with the ability to make impassioned speeches, grill bankers in front of commission panels, and be completely spineless and ineffectual.

Elisabeth Warren is by far the best possible person to head up this
new agency. I have admired her tenacity for some time. She is a
no nonsense person that can achieve results that will protect
the consumer first and foremost.
