I bought back the NUAN June 17 calls today (June 17th) for $0.90 , The chart of the stock has firmed up nicely. I will take the risk here, leave the stock uncovered, and look to sell an option in the August series when they are issued next week.
With the buyback of the option the breakeven on the shares now stands @ $17.58. Perhaps we can dig out, turn a profit and move on as this position has dragged on for over a year.
