Tips on how to successfully use StockTalk

  1. StockTalk is the perfect venue for short thoughts on the financial world or business news.
  2. To have your StockTalks appear on the homepage, ensure you've uploaded a picture for your account, and don’t include links (this policy eliminates spammers).
  3. To appear on quote pages and readers' portfolios, use stock tickers in block capitals such as GOOG or $GOOG.
  4. Your followers will see your StockTalks with or without links.
  5. Seeking Alpha automatically shortens links, but it will only appear this way once you "submit" your StockTalk. Also, regardless of how long your link is, the "# of characters left" data that is displayed only takes into consideration the characters of the shortened link.
  6. To delete a StockTalk, click on "StockTalk" in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Then click "My archive". Hover over the the StockTalk you want to delete and the "delete" option will appear. Click on delete and the StockTalk will be removed from your archive. If the StockTalk has already appeared on our homepage, it will only be removed at the next auto-page refresh.
