    Innkeepers is in talks to sell most of its hotels to Cerberus for lower than the $1.12B initially agreed upon, the WSJ reports. The discussions led Innkeepers to yesterday delay by at least a day the start of a trial in which it is suing Cerberus and Chatham (CLDT) for backing out of the original deal.

    Five Mile Capital is reportedly in talks with bankrupt Innkeepers USA Trust after Chatham Lodging Trust (CLDT) and Cerberus this week pulled out of an agreement to buy 64 Innkeepers’ hotels for $1.1B. Five Mile had lost out to Cerberus in an auction in May after bidding only $970.7M.

    Chatham Lodging Trust (CLDT) and Cerberus yesterday said they have terminated a $1.12B deal to buy 64 hotels owned by bankrupt Innkeepers USA Trust, due to a "material adverse" change that had occurred since the agreement in May to acquire the assets.
