    BMW (BAMXY.PK) April U.S. sales: 8.3% to 29,011 vehicles. Sales of the BMW brand were up 10.3% to 23,225 while Mini's pace of growth lagged. BMW Motorrad USA reported sales in April rose 31.6% - should Harley Davidson (HOG -0.6%) be excited?

    More on Harley-Davidson's (HOG) Q1: Worldwide sales of motorcycles dropped 9.1% Y/Y to 54,254 with sales in the U.S. off 12.7%. Despite the drop in revenue, the vibe from H-D is positive as profitability was improved during the quarter, success was seen in broadening sales to first-time customers, and the weather excuse plays. The company expects to ship 259K to 264K motorcycles to dealers and distributors worldwide this year. HOG +1.1% premarket. (PR)
