Intermec (IN) -19.4% AH after warning it expects Q1 revenue of $180M and EPS of -$0.24, well below a consensus of $207.1M and $0.04. The company blames weaker-than-expected demand in Europe. In addition, Intermec says it's evaluating its deferred tax asset and goodwill balances, and its evaluation could lead to a Q1 loss even worse than its revised guidance. It looks as if Raymond James had bad timing.

Intermec (IN +8.6%) is raised to Strong Buy from Outperform by Raymond James, which views the developer of wired and wireless automated identification and data collection products as well positioned in a consolidating market for rugged mobile computing, and having substantial operating leverage if it can successfully grow its revenue stream.
