    As Eastman Kodak (EK) struggles to stay afloat, the company is getting hit by a patent lawsuit from Japan's Kyocera (KYO), which alleges the "head component" of Kodak's inkjet printers violates its IP. Kyocera is seeking monetary damages and an injunction. Meanwhile, Kodak's suit against Apple and Research In Motion has seen repeated delays.

    Wi-LAN (WILN) announces it has initiated litigation over wi-fi patent infringement against a number of major tech players including Dell (DELL), H-P (HPQ), Kyocera (KYO) and Apple (AAPL) to name a few. The "extremely litigious" company filed the nuisance lawsuit in a district court in Texas well-known to favor plaintiffs.
