    • CNA Financial saw higher net investment income as well as realized investment gains. Diamond Offshore saw earnings decline thanks to a big drop in operating rigs vs. a year ago. Excluding a tax refund from last year, Boardwalk Pipeline had better results, and Loews Hotels' earnings increased thanks to income from JV properties.
