    Westinghouse Solar (WEST) says it's received notice from the Nasdaq Hearings Panel that it's shares will cease trading as of the open of trading on Thursday, September 6, and will begin trading on the OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol WEST. As a result of the delisting, the company has decided it won't pursue a reverse stock split, and is cancelling its previously announced special shareholder meeting. Shares +27% AH.

    Westinghouse Solar (WEST) +46.2% premarket after announcing it was selected by Comtec Distributing as the company's exclusive supplier of solar power systems. Comtec has a network of dealers serving markets in most of the western U.S.

    Akeena Solar (AKNS) soars 64% after Lowe's (LOW) announces it will begin selling the company's "plug-and-play" solar panels, which it says is the first practical DIY solar solution. "The availability of solar panels in Lowe's stores makes it easy for homeowners to go solar, and is a big step toward getting solar on every sunny rooftop," CEO Barry Cinnamon says.
