    • A huge amount of money came in on underdog Holly Holm in the last 24 hours before the fight as oddsmakers struggled to reverse the betting momentum. The losses were reportedly high enough to wipe out a weekend of football action at some betting venues.

    • In its 13F filing, Soros Fund Management revealed it's bailed out on its Herbalife (NYSE:HLF) bet by liquidating a near 2M-share position in Q3 -- likely at a profit -- and added stakes in Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) and Wynn Resorts (NASDAQ:WYNN), as well as boosting Allergan (NYSE:AGN) as its top holding.
    • Herbalife is up almost 47% YTD as Soros and Carl Icahn lined up on the long side against bearish investors including Bill Ackman. The Soros fund also reduced its put holdings on the S&P 500, to 836K shares from 2.9M.

    • KPMG released results of a study sponsored by gaming companies on the impact of a full smoking ban inside of Macau casinos.
    • The accounting services firm estimated a 16% drop in GDP for the city on top of the declines already seen this year. That mark is fairly consistent with forecasts on declines in gross gaming revenue after a ban (higher for mass market than VIP), including one from Global Betting and Gaming Consultants.
    • GBGC dissected the impact of smoking bans in Malta, Canada, and nations in Europe to estimate a loss of actual playing time of 17%. The gambling consulting firm noted directly to Seeking Alpha that in some cases governments changed their policies back after the revenue declines and drops in tourism were too much to bear.
    • Legislators in Macau met with casino executives this week to receive input on smoking lounges and more exceptions for VIP areas.
    • Macau casino stocks: Wynn Macau (OTCPK:WYNMF, OTCPK:WYNMY, WYNN), Sands China (OTCPK:SCHYY, OTCPK:SCHYF, LVS), MGM China (OTCPK:MCHVF, OTCPK:MCHVY, MGM), Galaxy Entertainment (OTCPK:GXYEF), SJM Holdings (OTCPK:SJMHF, OTCPK:SJMHY).
