Six cheap dividend champions Ben Graham might have liked, or so thinks Becca Lipman: Community Trust Bancorp (CTBI), Cincinnati Financial (CINF), AT&T (T), Aflac (AFL), Black Hills (BKH), CenturyLink (CTL). Each has increased dividends for 25 straight years, and appears undervalued according to "the Graham number."

Zero Hedge says Aflac's (AFL -1.8%) $610M hit from European debt raises doubts about Bernanke’s assertion that U.S. firms’ exposure to a European sovereign default is small. Aflac has been buying Japanese government debt to help shift risk away from Europe, but Japan likely has been buying the new EFSF European bailout bonds, ZH suggests, sucking it back into the exposure.

Aflac (AFL -1.6%) will book losses tied to bank investments in Greece, Ireland, and Portugal of $610M in Q2, as a "search for yield" jumps up and bites the company. The company is now adding to its positions in Japanese government debt ... sounds like a winner.

Aflac (AFL -5.4%) stands by its view that it doesn't expect a meaningful impact on earnings and it isn't changing its guidance for the year. The three hardest-hit prefectures represent less than 5% of Japan sales, CEO Daniel Amos says; investors are succumbing to "the tendency [to] look at the worst case." Shares take a beating anyway, along with MET -2.5%, HIG -3.7%, PRU -1.8%.
