5 Possible Picks in a Tumultuous Market [view article]
According to the last 'Hulbert Report' that I read, Cramer has about a 50% hit rate, which is above average for most of the gurus... (Seems to me Schaeffer, Fischer and Navelier had slightly better records. At any rate, knowing when to exit a stock is as important as when and what to buy. If Cramer has a failing, it is that he doesn't tell the listeners where to place their stops. In this whacky market, buying is riskier than normal if you don't get out at the right time. As a positive, he is entertaining, he talks about concepts that most average people never learn anywhere else, and he gets people interested in the market. How bad can that be?

Oh yeah.... RICK is quite an interesting stock .. I'd be looking at buying more in the $8.00 range as that seems to be the next support as it falls. But the business model is quite something.. High end strip clubs in areas where men are expected to enjoy naked women unlike California for example... And he really does hire some gorgeous ladies. His locations in Texas were very busy when I was down there. Reply

Good read, although I do not agree with the entire article. I thought it was well thought out and some good recommendations. What energy companies would you recommend? ReplyFive Companies PEG'ed for Growth [view article]

Military Doc,Thanks, I appreciate it.
Yea, GeoEye was an absolute steal when I recommended it at $22, and then again when it fell to $16.50!
I think we still have more upside from here to around $30-35 or so, but not as much as before of course.
Thanks for reading,

Hey Chris,I look forward to reading your analysis on picks and agree with what you stated up top. I purchased at 13 and look forward for an ever bigger turn in 2009-10. Thanks for your detailed work and I am bumbed I didn't pick up any GEOY at 20. Reply

I followed your tip buying some Auth shares but loosing 60% in one day is too much!!! If I would have bought randomly shares of any other company surely I wouldn't have lost so much. Can we wait for a positive reaction or is it better to get out?
Is possible that Auth will hold down this important customer? Reply
Top 5 Stock Picks for September [view article]
Chris,I thought AUTH was expensive even at its current lows, but man, I never thought it would drop this much in one day. I feel for you, I've had my share of micro-caps dropping more than half in a short-time -this truly sucks.
Given the drop and the potential risk of losing one of their biggest customers, I am curious to know from you, is this an over reaction or was this drop well justified?

Want 5 stocks for September. MO ,PM KFT AIG and KO. Good mix of growth and dividend but more important SAFETY.The stocks you are mentioning don't protct you well if the bear takes over Wall street which could happen with a Obama presidency. Many of the decamllionaires I know say they will adopt buy and hold philosophy on a stock like BRK and sit back like they did in the late 70s ReplyTop 5 Stock Picks for September [view article]
He may be right about GeoEye. That is quite a big moat. Not just everyone can launch their own imaging satellite. ReplyTop 5 Stock Picks for September [view article]
The only company he picks that I know is CVU and the fact that he picked it is enough for me to lend credibiity to his other picks. CVU has a huge backlog of orders for production of niche plane and copter parts for some rather significant players in the industry. ReplyTop 5 Stock Picks for September [view article]
I didnt even read it, but maybe you are right - what the hell, he's got a 50/50 shot. Finishing that comment with "stupid people are lucky". That's just classic blogger drivel. Do you also post on Daily Kos? Reply
