- Friday, August 21, 2009, 8:26 AM Microsoft (MSFT), Yahoo (YHOO) and Amazon (AMZN) join a coalition taking aim at Google's (GOOG) book publishing settlement, arguing the settlement gives Google an unfair copyright immunity in digital books that other companies will find difficult to match. 1 Comment

- Thursday, July 23, 2009, 11:33 AM While still an excellent deal, Amazon's (AMZN) acquisition of Zappos will likely be dilutive, Bernstein's Jeff Lindsay says. He estimates Zappos' margins are a 'wafer thin' 2% or less due to its liberal return policy and free shipping, and says the company was "operating close to break-even on a stand-alone basis." Comment!
- Thursday, July 23, 2009, 11:21 AM An apparent tussle leading up to the $807M deal between Amazon.com (AMZN +5.35%) and Zappos reveals both sides' affection for Amazon stock.
