Tuesday, November 22, 2011, 1:18 PM The bad times seen by Taiwanese chip foundries TSMC (TSM) and UMC (I, II) may extend into 2012: DigiTimes' sources claim the companies could see double-digit Q/Q revenue drops in Q1, worse than typical seasonality. Nice bounce after the ASX closed. Hong Kong was down big, the oranges at half time did the trick. Carried over to European open, of course.

Barry Crocker: North Korea providing nice cover for Europe's mess. Asia was tanking before the news. It had subtle impact away from Kospi and Shang.

Asia very strong late. HK and Jap closed like freight trains. The ASX gave away half of it's earlier gains. It missed the late Euro nudge.
