Wednesday, March 6, 12:23 PM AeroVironment (AVAV -14.5%) regains some of the losses from its post-session pummelling yesterday, but still remains firmly in the red after its FQ3 missed estimates hard. Net profit fell 33% Y/Y as the technology company suffered weaker sales across all business lines. FY13 guidance is for revenue of $348M-$370M and EPS of $1.41-$1.51, in-line with a consensus of $353.6M and $1.44 and calming investors worried about order push-outs. Total revenue fell 5% Y/Y, as sales of its unmanned aircraft slipped. Gross margin narrowed to 33.2% from 35%, as R&D expenses rose 7.3% and its unmanned aircraft revenue shrank 6.5%.
