Among those affected is a favorite of pain-seekers, the double-levered short 20+ Year Treasury fund (TBT), which will see a 1-for-4 reverse split on Oct. 4. 2 Comments

In a major policy reversal, the DoJ filed an amicus brief late yesterday saying human DNA and other genes shouldn't be eligible for patents. It's unclear whether the Patent Office will adopt the position, which could potentially force some biotech firms to change the way they develop drugs.
