Dividend Investment Myths [view article]
Excellent article ReplyDividend Investment Myths [view article]
agree with captain ccs: the point (a point) of buying dividend stocks is to take advantage of long term compounding. A ten year period would be more persuasive. ReplyOpportunities in the Real Crisis: Water [view article]
Really, what about that 3 mile long lake just created in Texas? Midwest flood plains? Seems we are in a big cycle of a hell of a lot of rain. I would agree, water purification should be a decent business in the future. Where is the real shortage being reported? In Texas near that new lake and T.Boons windfarm/nat gas plants? Speaker Nancy CheatALot seems to agree and so does CNN now reporting potential water shortage. I have a solution for everything, build teleporters send corrupt politicians to where there is lots of water on Ganymede. A whole moon full of ice and bullshit artists. On Aug 11 11:45 AM surfgrrl wrote:

Build a teleporter or hire 500,000 Chinese... ooops, I mean American workers to build a big, long system of pipes at $6.00 an hour and no benefits.Jason

Nice, but not much help at the moment. Are there no companies that it WOULD be smart to buy at the moment? If not, how about posting another article when you can tell us about companies that we could actually buy? Thanks. ReplyCalvin

Similar to NAT is Frontline, FRO. At the current price the trailing yield is over 19%. Earnings are reported on 8/29. I'm GUESSING (hoping) that the dividend will also increase beyond the $2.75 level. PE is less than 7. ReplyCalvin
