- Monday, May 6, 5:00 AM President Obama has signaled his support for increasing the U.S.'s exports of natural gas, saying that the country will probably be a net seller of LNG by 2020. The Department of Energy is assessing applications for 20 projects to export gas to nations with which the U.S. doesn't have a free trade agreement. Companies that could benefit include Dominion Resources (D), Cheniere Energy (LNG), Oiltanking Partners (OILT), Williams Cos. (WMB), Boardwalk Pipeline Partners (BWP) and Sempra Energy (SRE). Dow Chemical (DOW) and Alcoa (AA) are among those to oppose increased LNG exports, as it could raise their costs. 8 Comments [Energy, Top Stories]

- Tuesday, March 26, 6:55 PM It's understandable that MLP investors would be irritated as several - Calumet Specialty (CLMT) and Access Midstream (ACMP) are the latest - again revisit the trough for more capital and dilute their holdings, but demand for MLPs is so strong that unit prices of some involved in recent financings - BWP, DPM, EPB, EPD, MCEP - already have recouped initial losses and gained since their announcements. 18 Comments [Energy]
- Wednesday, March 6, 8:59 AM Williams Cos. (WMB) and Boardwalk Pipeline Partners (BWP) plan to form a JV to develop a pipeline project to transport natural gas liquids from the Marcellus and Utica shale plays to growing export and petrochemical markets. The proposed pipeline would provide producers with at least 200K bbl/day of mixed NGLs takeaway capacity in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. 2 Comments [Energy]
- Tuesday, February 12, 10:47 AM Boardwalk Pipeline Partners (BWP -2.9%) is downgraded to Underperform at Credit Suisse, which believes BWP's modest distribution growth outlook, re-contracting headwinds and likely equity issuance to alleviate a relatively highly levered balance sheet leave it wanting when compared to other opportunities within the MLP sector. 1 Comment [Energy, Quick Ideas, On the Move]

- Thursday, October 11, 2012, 7:15 PM Barclays investigates possible overvaluation in MLPs and thinks “the sector does not screen as cheap and will widen if the market gives up recent gains," advising investors who are overweight in EPD, PAA and KMI to moderate their positions. It's OK to add to ETB, EPB and DPM, the firm says, but reduce exposure to BPL, EEP and BWP. 25 Comments [Energy, Quick Ideas]
