Wednesday, April 24, 5:05 PM More on Cheesecake Factory's (CAKE) Q1 results: Comps rose 2% excluding the negative impact (-0.6%) of storms in the Northeast. Results were "at the top end of expectations," a reflection of a "strong, relevant brand with ongoing menu innovation and high service levels." The company repurchased 1.2M shares in Q1 and says it will continue to return cash to shareholders and should return "to peak operating margins" with "mid-teens earnings growth." A tripping point for the sector has been the lack of growth in visits by parties with kids.
