Billings are pegged at $147M-$149M, below guidance of $158M-$162M. Tuesday, November 13, 2012, 10:02 AM Palo Alto Networks (PANW +1.1%) is outperforming after introducing the VM-Series, a next-gen firewall that can run on servers using VMware's (VMW) virtualization software. The allows the firewall (and its policies) to be quickly moved from server to server. Palo Alto also introduced new mid-range hardware, a malware prevention service, and an update to the OS its firewalls run on. Gartner notes Check Point (CHKP) has long offered a virtual firewall, but expects the VMware partnership to give Palo Alto, whose solutions are differentiated in other respects, a lift.
