Alexandra Denehan who is resigning but staying on as the company's principal financial and accounting officer. Colligan was previously Controller at Starwood Capital. Thursday, April 18, 11:17 PM Mortgage REITs (MORT) catch the eye of D.C., with the Financial Stability Oversight Council reportedly set to cite the industry as a potential source of market vulnerability. The companies have seen assets quadruple to over $400B since 2009, but Annaly (NLY) CEO Wellington Denahan notes their capital bases have risen as well. A Two Harbors (TWO) presentation (page 8) shows mREITs are relatively small players in the MBS market. Maybe the Fed and the GSEs just don't like the competition. Friday, March 8, 6:25 PM It's been a long wait, but Chimera Investment (CIM) has finally filed its 2011 10-K as well as restatements for 2009 and 2010. The restatements have "no material effect on the company's (financial condition)." Chimera expects to have its 2012 Q1 report within 60 days and all subsequent reports done "as soon as practicable."
