Salesforce's Deferred Revenue Debacle [view article]
There are a lot of people trying to rationalize the high valuations of this company. (I do think it's a good company) However, the chart is broken, and for any stock with this high of valuations a broken chart is very bad.

Thursday Options Update: XLF, USO, DNDN, RDC, FL, CRM, SKS [view article]
No, Dendreon options have absolutely nothing to do with November earnings. They have absolutely everything to do with October Interim Results from their prostate cancer treatment, Provenge. Reply

Ouch -15% today. Good call, CRM was stalling at the 50-day. The uptrend is completely broken now via breakaway gap. Next major support for CRM is at $50. Reply

Hi Lee99. According to Bloomberg it was a miss:

    www.bloomberg.com/apps...

Shares are down 4%, so FWIW it seems that's how the market is taking it too.

Excellent coverage as usual. Suggest that you alphabetize earnings report (after close and before open as 2 groups, as now) to facilitate reading. Reply

" A few have suggested looking at the price to sales ratios, but this type of ratio only makes sense when a company can convert the sales to true economic earnings. "

Would you mind elaborating on this?

Ready to Rally - Cramer's Mad Money (6/13/08) [view article]
Sun Hydraulics (SNHY) is trading at $32 which is $10 down from it's 3 month high and their latest earnings report on Aug 5th beat the estimate by 7%. Is is time to revisit SNHY? This seems like a good entry point. Reply

Top 8 SaaS Stocks [view article]
At the risk of being an iconoclast, I feel some other companies need to be listed in the SaaS group. Why should'nt Google or eBay belong to this group. After all they provide services like search and auction on the internet?

I do agree that this group can weather a recession better than other software companies.

    Does Valuation Matter? [view article]
I agree 100% with David Hamilton's comment above.

Valuation still matters in the long-run. Stocks can run on momentum for a long time, but eventually, if the price is based on nothing but thin air, the roof is going to collapse. The tech bubble collapse in 2000 demonstrated that rather nicely.

Jim Cramer is out of control, always has been, if you take his advise you will be broke. The Disney Channel would be a better channel to watch. Reply
