    I have followed your comments on SA and other blogs. I don't know who you are but I do know two things about you. 1) You are extremely intelligent. 2) You have a lot of knowledge both technical and experience wise which leads me to believe either you are/were an analyst or work/ed on the buy-side.

    In answer to your question; Did management say that the 'logistic' glitch would be fixed in Q4 AND up guidance accordingly (+35M)?

    Somehow I think you knew the answer and if you were fishing for specific info from Amit, send him an email direct - my apologies for budding in and my condolences, apparently you are/were long. No one gets it right all the time.

    In general you should know that Amit Chokshi has a very long successful track record. He usually doesn't write about his long positions because they are too easy for him and don't pose enough of a challenge. Getting a short correct and getting the timing of the short correct - now that takes a heck of a lot more, especially in an uptrend market.

    Brilliant call.
    I just saw your article yesterday morning, and though I did not short Crox, I liked your reasoning behind the move.
    Incidentally, I happened to look at your bio, and its exactly what I want to do in my career. I am applying to Business School, and in the long term I want to setup a fund.
    Will be great if I could bother you with some of my questions, in the future.

    I just played the Q3 confrence call and
    noticed managment quote that the were unable to meet about $20 million in European demand, and $10 to $15 million in Japanese demand due to a logistic factor. if so the top line was held back by $30 to $35 million in the third quarter. also it would seem that robust demand from Japan and Europe is a plus. thoughts?     Well, are you still holding that short position? Crox closed over $70 today. They will absolutely destroy 3rd quarter estimates of 63 cents. Probably closer to 81 cents. Revenue will also be up over 200%. Those two numbers are the fuel for the price explosion upwards. The match that will light the fuel will be the raised guidance for the 4th quarter. Right now the estimate is 47 cents- this is a joke! Ron Snyder will probably give raised guidance of 65 cents and the stock will explode. But the stock will continue to rise all the way through to the earnings announcement for the 4th quarter because the results will be more like 77 cents(EPS). Please save your money and cover your short position now at $70 before you have to cover at $80, $90, or $100. Reply
