- Tuesday, September 27, 2011, 8:57 AM AmerisourceBergen (ABC) will acquire CVS Caremark's (CVS) TheraCom unit for $250M, expanding the drug wholesaler's consulting services offerings and pharmacy benefit reimbursement capabilities. TheraCom generates ~$700M in annual revenue, and the deal is expected to slightly boost ABC's 2013 earnings. Comment! [Healthcare, M&A]
- Friday, July 22, 2011, 8:49 AM Analysts see strong opposition to the $29B merger of Express Scripts (ESRX) and Medco (MHS), which would leave the industry with just one other independent company, CVS. “It’s going to be a very tough fight through the Federal Trade Commission,” industry consultant Adam Fein says, expecting pharmacists and drug makers to try to block the deal. Comment! [Healthcare, M&A]
- Thursday, July 21, 2011, 1:08 PM Shares of retail pharmacies Walgreen (WAG -3.7%) and CVS (CVS +2.9%) move in opposite directions as a result of the merger of Express Scripts (ESRX +5.7%) and Medco (MHS +15.1%). With Medco and ESRX focused on integrating, CVS may be able to swipe some customers. But with WAG losing its contract with ESRX, it may have few alternatives for pharmacy benefit services. 1 Comment [Healthcare, Consumer, M&A]

Ocean Man: Just kidding. It's good long term, but I sometimes take gains on quick pops too, look to get back in lower. -
jmok322: no worries - sorry thought you may have been adding to already existing positions

I've been saying since $1.20, if $RAD is profitable it's going to $5. Deep discount to $WAG and $CVS - View all 1 replies
-
ps677: Customer don't care what price RAD is selling for but RAD does "look" like Dollar Tree turned pharmacy shop. Good deal on Hineken beer.

RAD is getting beaten up and for good reason. No earnings, lots of debt, and not big enough to add value for WAG or CVS. It sucks - View all 1 replies
