    Corrections Corporation of America (CXW +3.2%) rallies after winning renewal of its contract with the CA Dept. of Corrections for another 3 years. The stock remains right around the level it was at a month ago when SA Pro's Jeffrey Dow Jones recommended it. Of course, there's the 5.8% yield as well.

    Corrections Corp. of America's (CXW -6.5%) planned conversion to a REIT has the backing of both its board and the IRS, but investors aren't so sure after the prison operator came in light on its projected $2.04-$2.16/share annual dividend. Avondale's Kevin Campbell, for example, expected ~$2.15-$2.26 - "We were already below the Street."

    The board of Corrections Corp. of America (CXW) authorizes conversion to a REIT, and plans to declare a special one-time dividend to distribute earnings and profits accumulated prior to REIT election. CXW raises 2013 financial guidance in connection with the conversion. Shares +1.2% AH.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation accounted for 13%, 13% and 11% of CXW revenue for 2011, 2010 and 2009, respectively.
