Friday, March 22, 3:37 PM Cytori Therapeutics (CYTX -2.2%) retreats in afternoon trading after a U.S. Appeals court upheld an FDA decision not to approve two stem-cell therapy devices. The court agreed with the FDA, noting that the devices weren't "substantially equivalent to the cited predicate devices." CYTX says it plans to continue to seek approval for the therapy through the Premarket Approval route, which is far more complex and time-consuming than the traditional 510(k) premarket process. Wednesday, March 6, 8:26 AM Roth Capital initiates Cytori Therapeutics (CYTX) at a Buy and gives it a price target of $8, well above the company's close of $2.69 yesterday. Roth's move comes after Cytori said last week that it has received the CE Mark in Europe for it reagent Intravase, which is used in the treatment of heart-failure patients. Comment!
