Jubilant Foodworks plans to open as many as 100 Dunkin Donut (DNKN -0.1%) stores in India as the company sees the restaurant chain resonating with a more on-the-go population in the nation. The fast food market is forecast to grow to 146B rupees ($2.75B) in India by 2014 - as a young population starts to earn higher wages and more women start to work.

Dunkin' Brands (DNKN +1.1%) and Coca-Cola (KO -0.1%) ink a multi-year marketing deal to convert Dunkin Donuts and Baskin-Robbins restaurants to Coke products. The transition begins this month and should be completed by August.

Dunkin' Brands (DNKN) -1.4% AH after disclosing insiders - primarily P-E firms Bain Capital, Carlyle, and Thomas H. Lee - will be selling 22M shares (18% of all outstanding shares) through a secondary offering that will occur in Q2. Following the sale, Bain, Carlyle, and Thomas H. Lee will each own a 12.5% stake in Dunkin, down from a current 18.4%.

"Dunkin' Brands (DNKN) is clearly in McDonald's (MCD) crosshairs," writes Hedgeye, noting the addition Monday of Danish, muffins, banana bread, and scones to menus across New England. The analysts also opine on the changes to the Dollar Value Menu, saying it risks upsetting customers who are used to and want drinks and fries for a dollar.
