A check of some other mortgage REITs premarket after AGNC reported a big loss in Q1: NLY -1%, IVR -0.4%, HTS -0.7%, CYS -0.7%, MFA -0.3%, CMO -2.3%, DX -1.8%, WMC -3.3%.
3 Comments [Financials, On the Move] - Thursday, May 2, 11:38 AM Dynex Capital (DX +1.5%) continues higher post-earnings as management makes its case on the earnings call (presentation). The company's allocation to commercial mortgages (now 61% of portfolio) insulates it from prepayment risk and overall CPR has remained fairly flat amid the refi boom of the last 2 years. At $10.68, the stock is at a 1.7% premium to book, a slightly higher valuation than hybrid REITs, but well less than commercial and non-agency REITs. Comment! [Financials, On the Move]
