Friday, May 3, 1:48 PM Even if Barclays is unsure (Equal-weight) about Fossil (FOSL +2.5%), Topeka is willing to express some conviction, starting the retailer at Buy with a $112 price target. The company "has a globally recognized portfolio of brands with double-digit top-and bottom-line growth," analyst Dorothy Lakner says, before expressing confidence in FOSL's ability to maintain and expand margins going forward. Thursday, March 21, 11:47 AM Fresh data on sales of Swiss watches from the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry is keeping retail analysts busy. A sharp 18% drop in February sales for the sub-$200 category isn't great for either Fossil (FOSL -1%) or Swatch (SWGAY.PK) but pricing strength in the +$300 category bodes well for Tiffany (TIF -1.6%). Tuesday, February 12, 9:09 AM Fossil (FOSL) moves up 3.1% premarket as the company's Q4 report shows strong demand for its expanding portfolio of watches and accessories. The retailer got a nice little during the quarter from its Skagen brand which was acquired last year. During its earnings call (webcast), execs said they expect the double-digit growth in Fossil's watch business to continue as it strives to take market share even higher.
