More on Velti's Q2: The company expects Q3 revenue of $60M-$64M and 2012 revenue of $285M-$296M, in-line with Street estimates of $61.1M and $290.9M. Adjusted EBITDA is expected to grow to $8.5M-$10.5M in Q4 from Q2's $6.2M. Net cash, a concern following Velti's Q1 report, grew by $5.1M. However, DSOs came in at a steep 266 days, down only slightly Q/Q. VELT +18.5%. Together with Millennial Media's strong Q2 report, the results could bode well for Google's mobile ad business. (PR)

Google (GOOG) and Microsoft (MSFT) are due to report earnings after the bell that could contrast how Google is still a growth story while Microsoft appears to be treading water (until Windows 8?). Google's Q2 EPS is expected at $10.04 vs. $8.74 last year and revenue of +21.6% to $8.41B. Microsoft's FQ4 EPS is seen falling to $0.62 from $0.69 despite revenue of +4.4% to $18.13B.

More on Millennial Media's Q1: The company expects Q2 revenue of $37M-$38M and 2012 revenue of $173M-$176M, above Street estimates of $36.7M and $169.8M. Millennial claims it had 300M monthly unique users view its ads in March (140M in U.S.); that suggests the average user generated 10.7 cents in Q1 ad revenue. Pandora (P) and Google (GOOG) have reported seeing mobile ad monetization challenges (I, II) as well. MM -8.7% AH. (PR)

More on ValueClick's Q1: The company is guiding for Q2 revenue of $155M-$160M, below a $167.9M consensus. Affiliate marketing revenue is expected to be up only in the mid-single-digits Y/Y, while revenue from owned/operated sites is expected to fall at a high-teens rate. ValueClick appears to be losing share to Google (GOOG) in the display ad space. VCLK -16.5% AH. (PR)

Motorola Mobility (MMI) edges closer to Google's (GOOG) $40/share buyout price following its Q1 report. Though EPS of -$0.03 missed by $0.04, revenue of $3.08B (+2% Y/Y) beat by $120M. Smartphone shipments rose 24% Y/Y to 5.1M - nothing to brag about given 40%+ market growth, but better than many feared. However, the Mobile Devices division lost $85M, and Motorola is apparently too embarrassed to continue providing data on Xoom tablet sales.

During its Q1 earnings call (webcast, live blog), Google (GOOG) admits lower rates for mobile ads are contributing to its cost-per-click weakness, as are new search ad formats and revenue-sharing agreements with OEMs and carriers. However, the company expresses optimism mobile ad rates will improve, given mobile advertising is in its early stages, and has the ability to drive local commerce.  GOOG +0.4% AH. (more)

More on Google's Q1: The new share structure is defended via another letter praising Google's long-term focus (previous). Ad click rates fell another 6% Q/Q and 12% Y/Y, backing up recent fears. Paid clicks rose 7% Q/Q and 39% Y/Y, up from Q4's 34% and likely fueled by mobile. International sales were 54% of revenue. Capex relatively mild at $607M, down from Q4's $951M. Headcount growth was a modest 610 (helps explain the earnings beat). GOOG +1.2% AH. (PR)
