2004 vs 2005? ReplyScotia Capital: Gold Uptrend Will Continue into 2009 [view article]
Such long-term projections in an uncertain and volatile world sound a little goofy to me. ReplyScotia Capital: Gold Uptrend Will Continue into 2009 [view article]
I agree with fx: This is useless information. The only thing it's telling you is that Scotia is more interested in the trade than in the actual value of what it is they are trading. ReplyScotia Capital: Gold Uptrend Will Continue into 2009 [view article]
these 10 and 12.5 year average price targets are pretty confusing and frankly look pretty weird. if they believed in them, i cannot understand how they raised the targets for silver and gold miners. 12 year average silver price target at $12?? wtf? do they expect silver to fall back to that level for the next years or what?this stuff from scotia capital is less than useless. AEM target raised from $7 to $85?? Sounds like a "buy" to me although I know of plenty of better companies in this sector. ReplyGold Stock Earnings to Shine in 2007 [view article]
Keep in mind TNR has some big backers... smth like 35% institutional owned by Barrick , RAB Capital, NovaGold, Prudent Bear Mutual Fund, OCM Mutual Fund, etc etc list goes on.When they have anything decent this network of players will help it move fast

Gold Stock Earnings to Shine in 2007 [view article]
re: Sufiys reply above:TNR Gold Corp has large institutional investors in for the long haul.
In 2004 they got RAB Capital in their stock at a low price and RAB still held on to it after all this time, despite at one point last year 600%+ profit.

Must be something interest... why would Barrick, VALE, Lundin and other major names be intersted in this small company? 33% owned institutional. I'd watch for it for sure. Reply
Gold Finds Its Mojo After Short, Mild Pullback [view article]
Can someone please explain to me why GS doesn't trade at a higher multiple? I know the conventional thinking is that the I banks traded at a discount due to their heavily cyclical nature. However, the I banks are structured much differently now, and that is especially true for GS. GS should trade at a 14-15 multiple I estimate. They are huge players in prime brokerage, asset management, and have been savy in shorting the market at the correct times. In addition, they remain the gold standard in traditional I banking and sales and trading services. Goldman should be trading at a market multiple. In the least they should get a 15xEPS price. Why Gold Juniors Have Not Yet Popped [view article]
Once we get the first takeover of a junior with gold prices at this level then the sector will fly and the hedges will go long. You can not divorce the cost of mining claims from the underlying commodity, and that is what is happening at the moment. Size the moment and buy the juniors - those who sell are going to feel really sick! ReplyWhy Gold Juniors Have Not Yet Popped [view article]
Agree with lowdown...patience is the KEY on the tsx and venture exch...you will NEVER make any money jumping in and out of these juniors. Find yourself some undervalued companies with good potential - there are PLENTY out there atm....in a years time from now they have a good chance of doubling...just remember: patience! While you´re at it - check out CZS.V Good luck! ReplyWhy Gold Juniors Have Not Yet Popped [view article]
Few Junior companies ever make it to production. One of those I have been watching for a few years is worth a look. I suggest you do your own research as I don't give advice. Obviously I like the company but then again every person is responsible for their own decisions. Santa Fe Gold Corporation has good solid management. Small company with only about 5 board members one of them a former Executive VP of Exxon Minerals. The president of the company has a Phd. in this field and a great reputation for integrity and success with a number of big companies including Exxon. They have the monies to begin mining their Summit Gold/Silver mine. They have the permits and have begun the preparations necessary to begin mining. In addition they have the 90 square mile Ortiz gold field in New Mexico the same state where the Summit is also located. The reports on the Ortiz look very promising even though only a small section of this large area has been tested. Thomas Edison tried to mine gold here but failed because of lack of water requied at that time. In additon to these properites the company has other mineral properites which alone could make the company successful, all of which are in the United States. This is one Junior Exporation Company which seems to be on the verge of some exciting times going from exploration to production this year. Do your own research but for me I am so glad I found this company and have stayed with them for all this time. Reply
