Excellent coverage as usual. Suggest that you alphabetize earnings report (after close and before open as 2 groups, as now) to facilitate reading. Reply

Five Options Ideas: Chesapeake Energy, CIT Group, Commercial Metals, GLD, Campbell Soup [view article]
Chesapeake is going to plummet. Simple reason for that: They are on the verge of experiencing Peak production. Just have a look at the numbers of Texas Railroad Commission.
Statewide monthly gas well gas production for Chesapeake Operating:
    Oct 07 32.9 Nov 07 31.5 Dec 07 31.1 Jan 08 29.9 Feb 08 27.4 Mar 08 27.8 Apr 08 25.7 May 08 25.1
So, production plummeted by 24% within 8 months. Within these 8 months NG prices surged from 6.17 (Q3 2007) to 11.34 (Q2 2008).
Also: According to Texas RRC, output from the Barnett Shale peaked in Dec 07 with 3.07 BCF and declined to 2.61 BCF (May 08) so far.
Shale NG is hot air, just declining too much.

A Better Place: Almost everything you said is utter nonsense. If you voted for Bush you are partly responsible for the current Bush Recession. Reply

This looks like a dartboard. Pick 3 sector ETFs, 3 little followed stocks
    and sleep better at night.

First of all, I am not a Democrat and will not vote for a Democrat.
I think most investors had a strong feeling that between now and election time, the Republicans would apply extreme pressure anywhere and in anyway they could to boost the market. They are having some success it seems. However, they can do the most in controlling commodity prices. Getting them down as we see happening now. Low and high estimates as needed to influence commodity prices, along with personal pressures applied to those in most control of the targeted commodities. No telling how low we will see some go in the near, but hold on after 2008.

I realize that IBM is not in the S&P, but it is a Dow component and near its 5 year high. It has had a great run. Reply

I don't remember Cramer recomendeing Wamu -- US Bancorp yes, out of his four fortresses - but not WM that I remember. He said he'd keep buying CHK into pain, too, and loves the company.
