Housing Market Tracker - Commercial Real Estate Outlook [view article]
Yes, it's a very bad market in most areas of the country. But, i say that a large part of it is due to negative press...not all. Our economy is so consumer driven that the consumer's confidence is the deciding factor. I recently heard two economists speak about this negative press impact on the markets. Here are some of their comments:www.capitallistings.co... Reply

Dear "WACG".... Huh???? ReplyOverbought and Oversold Stocks That Typically Reverse at Similar Levels [view article]
There is nothing significant about a 50 day moving average. In fact, a 50 day MA represents, merely, what was happening with the price TWENTY FIVE DAYS AGO. Further, standard deviations have meaning ONLY with data that is independent and "normally" distributed. Stock prices are irrefutably NOT independent. This sort of "analysis" only reinforces the dictum: "When your only tool is a hammer; all the world's a nail". EP is just begining its run and is hardly overbought....Going into the summer Hurricane season, limited supply, and strong demand Natural gas has large upside. EP will benefit from this- ReplyEditors

Yun is lost in his own mind. Someone needs to help this guy out. ReplyHousing Market Tracker - Commercial Real Estate Outlook [view article]
Yeah, Lawrence Yun has a miserable track record, and is a great contrary indicator. He is a total schill for the real estate indutry, but wait, he does work for them! ReplyHousing Market Tracker - Commercial Real Estate Outlook [view article]
Interesting that the cap rate on the citicorp plaza deal was 5.8%, with 2007 inflation runnung at 4.1%. Think Apollo was lucky to get out of the property at that level. Also haven't heard alot about Harry Macklowe's renegotiated loan terms on the equity office/Blackstone purchases. Wonder if he's gonna be forced to sell off any manhattan properties any time soon, and what the cap rate will be on such a sale. The point to all of these reports is; Location, Location, Location! I saw the strip-malls in Huston overgrown with weeds and for sale/lease signs all over the place in the 80s. I bet their commercial and retail real estate is booming because of oil.We need to put this info on a map, along with the housing foreclosures to clear up the misunderstandings about our economy. Re: "Commercial practitioners can anticipate a weaker, though positive, net absorption in the office and industrial sectors later in the year with fewer new commercial buildings reaching the market," – Lawrence Yun, chief economist, National Association of Realtors. (National Association of Realtors, Feb. 20th)Has anyone ever heard Lawrence Yun make a negative comment about any aspect of the real estate market since he replaced David Lereah as chief economist and cheerleader of the NAR? I haven't. But he has repeatedly been calling a bottom to this market since it began to decline more than a year ago. Reply

Thanks for the nice comments! ReplyA Super(Gen) Play on Cancer Biotech Consolidation [view article]
I applaud you Mike Havrilla for this extremely interesting article re:supg. This is the kind of stock to invest in as a safer speculative stock than someothers who have horrific balance sheets and a management team who is counter-productive to its
own company. Most important to me on biotech's is pipeline, success with past phases and results, little or no debt, and high REO(return on equity).
You did a superb due diligence on this company.
Thank you again and I hope you can continue to be the Beacon of Light in the future for all investors who are privileged to read your articles on the Seeking Alpha Site.
