IAC/InterActiveCorp (IACI +1.3%) honcho Barry Diller says he wants to use cash to repurchase stock instead of shopping for overvalued media firms, and has "zero interest" in a stake in NBC Universal (GE). Buybacks are way down overall, but IAC has $1.6B in cash and just $96M in long-term debt.

Once again in February, Google (GOOG) expands its lead in U.S. internet search - at the expense of Yahoo (YHOO), Microsoft (MSFT), and Ask.com (IACI). According to Hitwise, GOOG captured 72.1% of the market, up from 66.5% a year ago. YHOO 17% vs. 20.6%. MSFT 5.6% vs. 7%. Ask.com 3.7% vs. 4.1%.

If IAC (IACI) CEO Barry Diller wants to avoid Liberty Media's (LINTA) Chinese water torture (it sold another 334K shares Wednesday after selling 564K last week), he should return some of IAC's cash to shareholders.
