  • May 1 Range-bound IPG Photonics (IPGP +15.1%) shoots higher after beating Q1 estimates. Though IPG's guidance for Q2 revenue of $128M-$138M and EPS of $0.60-$0.70 is only in-line with a consensus of $134.6M and $0.67, it's calming investors worried about the industrial laser vendor's exposure to the Euro and Chinese manufacturing sectors. IPG's gross margin rose 200 bps Q/Q to 55.8%.
