How is it determined if the software was installed but not used. That is, I have software on my PC that I installed in order to try out the software and decided it was not for me. I didn't bother deleting it. This would be more common if the network admin installed the software and I couldn't delete the software even if I wanted to delete it. Ditto, at least try not to listen to the obvious fools. It's hard enough knowing who they are, in this case, who's wondering?Reply

I guess Morgan Stanley wants to bring down as many companies to their level as possible. Why would anyone take advice from a company that is as poorly managed as Morgan Stanley? ReplyMorgan Cuts Targets on Host of Tech Hardware Stocks [view article]
Morgan Stanley is still in business? Can you double-check the source maybe its one of those infinite loop randomizer recordings they turn on once a month. Reply

No wonder our economy is so screwed-up. They did this TODAY based on this:"...to reflect the strengthening of the U.S. dollar and a slowdown in global demand."
I'm downgrading Morgan to "talking head" status.
Full Disclosure: The only thing I own with the word "Morgan" on it is a bottle of rum.

Savitz, I wouldn't get my panties in a twist over this...the dollar has already lost a good portion of it's recent rise. ReplyMorgan Cuts Targets on Host of Tech Hardware Stocks [view article]

Another tough day on Wall Street. Dvorak muses whimsically on Dell buying Sun. As this is written, JAVA is down 11.2% (the DJI is down a little less than 3%). With all the cash on hand, I don't understand why someone isn't doing an acquisition. Although marketing the OpenSource software has begun, the CxOs have had many months to get traction on matching performance of HP, IBM and other 'peers'. Replydooley

when I read the insiders activities on the stocks that i own i always see large blocks of stocks being sold or option being exercised. As a stock holder i paid for my shares these insiders didn't there shares came from the stockholders. The only company i have that has honest management is brk.a/b ReplyGlobal Server Shipments Outpacing Economy [view article]
Sun/Java lost market share and went down in revenues, when the rest of the industry went up. This company is not in imminent danger of collapse, but its long-term rooters have to be getting concerned. At this hour, it is down to 8.91, almost 51% for the year. These folks need to wake up. Replyn
Memo to Sun: Promote MySQL Through Avnet [view article]
Hmmm ... Do Google and Yahoo also use high price Sun's hardwares? Oracles DB helped Sun to sell a lot of hardwares. Oracles (like Microsoft) know how to lock loyal customers to pay Oracle's taxes for the DB. I had been yelling out for 2+ years that Jonathan's strategies of giving away softwares to make money on hardwares are the failures. Look at the revenue growth for Sun for the past 2 years to now to prove my point ReplyWall Street Breakfast: Must-Know News [view article]
Healthcare and legacy costs are partially to blame, but the UAW is, in my opinion, more of the culprit. I worked for Ford and experienced the ridiculousness of all of the red tape first hand. The UAW is nothing more than a leech. From the union reps who do nothimg more than walk the floor and shake hands, to the stupid rules pertaining to job classification, unions are a big reason why AMerican car makers are struggling. Hell, in my plant (Sterling Heights plant on Mound road for Ford) we had a guy making over 100k a year and he was a damn floor cleaner! On Aug 01 07:24 PM brian58 wrote:
