FTC tells Kellogg (K) to pull ads claiming Frosted Mini-Wheats improve attentiveness by nearly 20% - because the study showed only an 11% boost in alertness compared to kids who skipped breakfast. Maybe Kellogg's copy-writer was working on an empty stomach? K -1.3%.

Companies are so worried about sinking the boat that they may be missing it, James Surowiecki says in a great article that contrasts Kellog's (K) growth during the Great Depression to Post's (GIS). "You'd think that everyone would want to emulate Kellogg's success, but, when hard times hit, most companies end up behaving more like Post."
