I bought into LCAV while looking for eye surgery. I am on the leading edge of the baby boomers and we have entered that time when we need eye sight correction. I have found that my desires through the years are pretty much replicated a couple of years behind me by the boomers. We are a pretty stable financial group soon looking for better vision. I found the company while looking at the laser process and bought the stock after looking at its growth and earning. I bought just a tad too early as the downturn in the economy has presented buying opportunities that was not there a few months back. I also noted insiders (directors etc. purchased LCAV with their own funds in 07. I think the article will prove itself to be true in the months to follow. ReplyLCA Vision Looks Cheap [view article]
Fine analysis. Hits the nail on the head. The problem is squarely named: "... once the economic outlook improves." But until there is improvement in the economy, there is not likely to be much improvement in LCAV.And when will that happen???
(longer in LCAV than I wish I were.)

edward lord clarendon.hedge fund 13f filings with the SEC only report LONG holdings. so if they added, they added to their long. if they reduced, they sold off some of their long. they are not required to report short positions.
kind of common knowledge regardless though, that when funds in general talk about "holdings" they are referring to their longs. Reply

Having only discovered your site recently I must say I am more impressed with each new article such as Hedge Funds portfolio activity. Also noticing Tremblant's portfolio added to anad position tells me they feel as bullish as I on them but expect perhaps a sprd investment soon at these prices for an obvious solid long term play. I like your post- and it was a great marketing tool to be able to include 50+ symbols- great syndication idea.Although I am very pessimistic of 'anonymous' authors- I must say I took a look at your blog and like it very much.
Yes- it is great to follow what the funds are investing in- the increase in Gafisa was interesting -but not suprised by tremblant or atticus taking big V stakes- and look like they picked up some MA on the correction.
Interesting posts- and great link setup.......

This is the kind of CDO the poor bond insurers were fraud in to insure:www.reuters.com/articl...
This is fraud and AMBAC and MBIA do not have to insure this kind of crooks, they should clear up their books from this structure finance vehicles to regain value and their triple A ratings again.
