To hell with that! $71.50 was too much - $73 to appease some egos is outlandish. CVS & LDG are in the drug, retail, & PMB businesses and not in to buying and selling real estate. If some greedy shareholders that just bought in 2 months ago want to trade property - let them go buy Century 21. Reply

Yet again you claim to have read my previous posts where I have stated this numerous times...MetroPCS. We don't sell data so not sure how I would be envious of a "startup" company that sells junk. Once we do start selling data I'm sure Sprextel/Clearwire will be something we talk about in passing...with quite a few jokes!

I see you haven't denied working for Sprextel/Clearwire so we're all assuming that's why you're so defensive...good luck there bud!

Actually Ops Mgr. Dr. Ernest Simo is a well respected engineer & author of many books. He's a nationally recognized trainer in wireless technologies. As usual in all my responses to your uneducated posts, try doing some background research before posting crap...again, go back to work Sprextel/Clearwire sales puke! Reply

And yet again you didn't read my post. I DID NOT dispute any gain Clearwire had the PREVIOUS week. I only posted they lost that & more the week FOLLOWING. Good God dude, READ BEFORE POSTING CRAP! I also ask that you look up Dr. Ernest Simo who indeed also claims that HSDPA uses OFDM in some cases. Again, I don't claim to know anything, I just post my opinions. You can now go back to work Sprextel/Clearwire employee.... Reply

Interesting analysis but Mark Barath misses one key point. Fundamentals lag price by at least three months and in some cases more, especially at key turning points. In other words, investors (or traders) who focus on the fundamentals and wait for them to give them an entry signal in the recovery or an exit signal in a slowdown will be severely punished.

Homebuilders are an excellent example. The following chart shows homebuilder stocks leading up to a peak in 2005 followed by a big breakdown. But as you see from the lower subgraph showing earnings growth, GPE (growth to PE) and EPS (earnings per share) did not show signs of real trouble until the price of the homebuilders index had been cut in half. (See Figure 5 tradesystemguru.com/co... ).

My research has consistently shown that while fundamentals provide useful confirmation in an uptrend (and weakening fundamentals confirmation of a bear market), price is the leading indicator and ignoring a price surge or breakdown while waiting for the fundamentals to tell you what to do can be an extremely costly practice.

Contrast this method with the old 'Buy low P/E stocks'.... And you don't know where to turn.... What I'm trying to do lately is screen for stocks that have a steady uptrend over a period of months (I'm looking for nice clean steady movers..) and buy on the break back up through the MA20.

Simple, yet interesting. RS screens usually yields stocks that are "momentum" stocks. These could definitely outperform, but the volatility is usually a bit extreme. In other words, not for the faint of heart. Reply

InterOil found two very big natural gas resources in Asia (where LNG trades at a huge premium) plus they might very well have ability for a liquids stripping plant and their refinery has turned around. Half the float is short, but the case for shorting seems weaker by the week (we might get a push from the new SEC rules as well). The upside is still very large as the gas has not been priced in and they have many more drilling prospects.
