It's More than Just Baidu: 51 Other Ways to Invest in China [view article]
Response to keithrasm's post:----------------------...
More interesting trivia (which ain't so trivial): China’s population has been growing by some 10 million people annually, and now comprises 22 percent of the world total. Yet the country is home to only 7 percent of all arable land, creating a rising food security concern, according to Xinhua News Agency.
----------------------...
I think you may have hit on the holy grail on participating in China's growth. There's going to be a lot of mouths to feed.
Any good agricultural stocks in or involved in China? I am also considering bulk shippers and food distributors but have no specific companies in mind. Reply

Yes agreed SBUX is undervalued at this price, but it will be a slow run back up for them. ReplyStarbucks Cools Off - Fast Money Recap (4/24/08) [view article]
Just how is DECK, a maker of seasonal fad boots, going to sustain it's profits in this consumer recession going forward? They conceded that their Teva brand for summer isn't doing as well as expected.Their very small float is easily manipulated and keeps the share price aloft for now. Reply

Interesting article. ReplyStarbucks Cools Off - Fast Money Recap (4/24/08) [view article]
I agree with the above poster. SBUX might never reach 40 again, but it is currently undervalued. They have an outstanding brand which isn't going to die anytime soon. They know what they did wrong, they're fixing it, but it's going to take some time to get back to the coffee basics. I'm waiting 2 quarters before I BUY. ReplyTiedeman

SBUX is not going away. I expect this name to be much higher once they make the needed adjustments to their business model. This is a 2-3 year ordeal. Replyer

As usual, the posters have more brainpower than the author -V is the best stock to come along since Google- V has much more upside and market share than MC- and will decimate MC in the global race for plastic penetration (sounds like a porno)- anyway, V will be the bud and MC will soon be relegated to Miller stat......

I bought visa at $59.50 I only wish I had bought 20,000 more shares than I did ! It will very soon be a $120 stock ! ! ! ReplyWeakened Financials Show Off Their Visa IPO Profits [view article]
When are your writers going to give an in-depth look at Visa? They all talk like short-sellers, with the number of shares (775 billion) the highlight of the articles. Your reader's comments are where I really learn anything on Seeking Alpha about any given stock. I appreciate your comment feature very much, much more than your writers' articles provide! ReplyVISA!
Weakened Financials Show Off Their Visa IPO Profits [view article]
This is what i mentioned in one of my first comments to Joanne Rosen in the begining, China's use alone will sky rocket into record breaking profits for VISA, no matter how the US economy is doing. It's a WIN! WIN! situation.
"Visa’s CEO has got it together," Fitz-Gerald said. "He’s targeting Chinese growth and that should go right to the bottom line."
