The stock was upgraded yesterday by Goldman, along with Quest Diagnostics (DGX -1.5%), on the sector's improving fundamentals. SIAL has "few levers to drive EBIT [as] long-term organic growth guidance of 4-6% is too high." - Monday, April 1, 10:26 AM LabCorp (LH +0.3%) says that its subsidiary LabCorp Clinical Trials has been selected as a preferred provider for full-service global central laboratory services and biomarker testing by Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY -0.2%). Under the terms of the five-year agreement, LH's global central lab, biomarker and specialty testing capabilities will support various early and late-stage clinical development programs for the drug giant. Starbucks (SBUX), Time Warner (TWX) and LabCorp (LH) are among dozens of companies attempting to block decisions by the National Labor Relations Board following a court ruling in January that found President Barack Obama's board appointments to be unconstitutional. The companies, as well as some unions, have argued that the NLRB doesn't have the authority to make the decisions because of the ruling.
