Board and Executive Compensation in S&P 500 [view article]
when I read the insiders activities on the stocks that i own i always see large blocks of stocks being sold or option being exercised. As a stock holder i paid for my shares these insiders didn't there shares came from the stockholders. The only company i have that has honest management is brk.a/b ReplyTen Shining Arizona Stocks [view article]

Um, are there editors at Seeking Alpha? I've got this story I wrote about a cow that got all tangled up in a barbed wire fence in Putnam County, NY. Seems it got scared from a recent lightning strike, and ol' Mr. Gantry didn't notice it was missing from the herd until afternoon milking time. I'll save the "twist" for when I get the full story gets published by this "folksy website". ReplyTen Shining Arizona Stocks [view article]
Your article brings to mind my latest investment speculation--Enhanced Oil Resources,Inc. They are the company holding the Helium & CO2 reserves you mention . A small Canadian co trading on the Venture ex. under the symbol : EOR.V ( using the Yahoo quote ) . They have leased & control most of the St. Johns Helium/Carbon Dioxide Field in Apache Co. Az. & Catron Co. NM. The co has completed 15 wells of 36 drilled & has tested flow rates as high as 6.5 million cubic feet per day. Latest reserve calculations suggest a recoverable 8 trillion CF of CO2 + 33 billion CF of Helium with field life of 40 years. Now here,s the interesting part--they plan to pipeline ( yet to be built ) the CO2 east into the Permian Basin of SE NM & W Tex. where it will be sold for enhanced oil recovery in mature oil fields. There is a HUGE demand for such CO2. Third parties will build the pipeline & I believe they have already signed a deal with the Federal Gov,t to buy all their Helium ( since the Gov,t is the only buyer ). The co is well capitalized by equity offerings & several private placements. Now the real payoff --they have started buying smaller, mature oil fields in NM which will be subjected to CO2 injection for ehanced recovery of remaining oil. Their staff of Geologists& Pet. Engineers are constantly looking for potential mature oil fields to purchase. To date they have purchased 2 oil fields : Milnesand & Chaveroo and are reworking the wells to maximize current oil production. There,s a big oil company that,s doing this same thing; Denbury Resources Inc., only they don,t own their CO2--they have to buy it. This co , EOR.V, could grow into something huge. I,m in on the ground floor . Long EOR.V. ReplyTen Shining Arizona Stocks [view article]
Your articles are useless for making an investment decision because you do not give enough information. If I read one more article like this on SA, I will put you on ignore. If you want to read a good analysis, read some of the articles that Davy Bui writes. Also, you seem to NOT own any of the companies that you write about. Reply

Although I own FCX and PCU, I thought that this article might have more information in it. But it seems to simply be an advertisement for Arizona and a waste of my time. ReplyBoard and Executive Compensation in S&P 500 [view article]
its all a self serving scam.the new word should be "suckerholder&quo... stockholder.the ceo's & bod's are just selfserving & nobody mentions the suckerholder in the boardroom. pay should only be by dividend fro shares bought by management & bod's & no options.that would straighten things out real quick.utopia? Jackooo...you are exactly correct. The companies send out proxies, etc., as a "feel good" exercise, not something that will result in any change of directors, management, etc. The mutual funds are not doing their jobs when they simply go along to get along with extreme compensation packages being set up by compensation committees. Any time a compny is losing money badly, but gives top executives major pay raises, something is wrong inside the management of the companies. Years ago when it became so obvious to me that boards of directors were nothing more than good old boys clubs, rubber stamps for corporate executives and every bit as greedy, I began to look in the proxy for the identities of the Compensation Committee. Every proxy I have voted since I have withheld my vote for those committee members and have encouraged others to do the same. May never have an affect but at least its something I can do to express my dissatisfaction... ReplyBoard and Executive Compensation in S&P 500 [view article]
I have both T and CMCSA. I notice their executive teams are paid the most. That's a shame from these two losers. The SEC can make up lots more rules & I can vote against the board but unless the mutual fund companies vote their shares against the boards, we individual share holders might as well forget proxy voting.
I cannot understand why the funds don't take the reigns? It is their clients that are losing money. It is true that most of the clients are dumb and lazy regarding financial savy but gezz. You would think the funds would do something, no?? Reply

giving the people on the board hefty 'compensation' really amounts to a bribe by the top execs to keep the big exec $ coming, no matter what. Warren Buffet does it right, when it comes to this. good article. thank you. Reply10 Notable Companies Announcing Dividend Hikes [view article]
i know it fluctuates but a yield % would be helpful as todays inflation rate for the 5 daily basic needs is app.15-16%. ReplyEight Semi Picks From Those in the Know - Barron's [view article]
