Valuing Sepracor Through Astra-Zeneca's MedImmune Goggles [view article]
My comments are very similar, and, much to my chagrin, I was going to use the old "apples and oranges" analogy as well. I would throw in some reimbursement risk as well. Reply

What you fail to realize is SEPR's drugs have no intellectual property protection. Valuing SEPRs assets using 25-35x implies terminal value that SEPR simply does not have. Lunesta has but 5 years of IP life left and Xopenex either 1 or 5. MEDI's assets have another 20 years left to them.

Sorry, this is apples and oranges.

Cramer called AZN's acquisition of MEDI a "classic overpay" and may make CELG and CEPH seem undervalued.
What a minute, I thought Cramer said 5x's for a month including last week when he intervied NSTK ceo quay, that'nstk' has everything going for them".
Isn't NSTK undervalued too besides celg and ceph?
I mean didn't you see the volume the very next day on 'nstk' look at the charts!
Look at the nstk message board too. Last january you had 4 posters, now there are dozens because of Cramer. Hail Cramer!
HE SURE PICKED A WINNER WHEN HE SELECTED 'NSTK'. WHAT A COMPANY!

Top 25 S&P 500 Stocks By Growth Forecast [view article]
Malkiel, I am fairly positive. The list is of S&P 500 stocks, and the regular class A shares are the ones included in that group.
To the best of my knowledge, the B shares aren't publicly traded.

Even if Bill Gross is right on the dollar, his ETF pick doesn't make sense, as EFA is a large cap ETF dominated by multinationals, many of which have a significant proportion of their revenues from the US and would therefore be hit by a weaker dollar (or at least not gain one-for-one with a falling dollar).

Surely a much better choice for him would have been the WisdomTree International SmallCap Dividend ETF (DLS) or the WisdomTree Europe SmallCap Dividend ETF (DFE). More info in the Q&A with the WisdomTree product manager.

Gross is off base for now. The fed can't lower until the europeans start lowering. Otherwise you get a double hit from the inflation perspective, the lowering itself and the lowering vs foreign currencies. So, unless the europeans start lowering by mid-year, you won't see it here, either. Reply

Top Picks for 2007 from JPMorgan HealthCare Analysts [view article]
Sorry, but huge cramer fan. He liked GILD and TMO before they presented. Also, 4 small cap drug stocks are heading toward fda approval and will likely double this year, or early next year. SVNT, IDEV, SNUS, and BMRN. Biotech is one field that is not usually moving together as a unit. It is pipeline driven. These will double for no other reason than they are nearing their fda approval. I follow Cramer pretty closely, cramersez.com or thestreet.com are good sites to keep tabs on his picks. Reply
