$PSEC, $AGNC, $MTGE. Trader music. "Let's run away, and leave the past behind." I dedicate this song to the mREIT space. Starts 11:45.Link:

: It's time to run away, and leave the past behind. Now is the time to leave mREITs and move on. Excellent years we had. Will never forget.

Investors in $AGNC and $MTGE need to SELL if they haven't already. NFP 300k+. Get out of there. Interest rates are going way up and soon.

: I obviously was correct on my assessment.. mREITs went through a selling phase after the NFP and continued to move lower.

: Why be involved in an mREIT when you can get better yields in the BDC sector with better NAV stability and less leverage...

If someone had to pick between $MTGE, $AGNC, or $FSC as an investment. I would tell them to buy $FSC because of the sustainable dividend.

: What's more.. is that $FSC's NAV is much more stable than mortgage REIT NAV... and rising rates will boost $FSC income

$MTGE GDP came in better than expected... much better. Yet bond prices continue to go up. This is telling. Nothing can stop bonds it seems.

: $AGNC and $MTGE are STRONG BUYS because bonds can only go up in price. agency mbs are god-like. They cannot be hurt. They are golden.

: interest rates will never go up.. they will drop to 1.5% on 10 year. Fed funds may go up, but 10 year will go down. EPIC FLATTENER.

My thoughts on $MTGE... is that interest rates are probably nearing a low point and will go higher over the next 3-12 months on long end.but

: So a rising rate environment should be OK for $MTGE, yet I will benefit from my hedges anyways. That gives me more spread risk.

: But it also reduces my interest rate risk for $MTGE.
