Industry tracker DRAMeXchange says computer memory chips are likely to face a serious shortage in H2 2010 as consumers demand more capacity and companies embark on a delayed drive to replace PCs. Fir sees PC shipments up 13%, driven by notebooks and netbooks. Micron Technology (MU) +1.7%.

Rambus (RMBS +11.8%) can continue pursuing antitrust claims against memory-chip makers, after an appeals court denies Micron Technology's (MU -4.6%) petition to block them. Micron is named in the claims along with Samsung and Hynix Semiconductor.
