Neurocrine: Company Sinking, But Ex-CFO Gets a Cushy Send-Off [view article]
CFO Paul Hawran was hit with a margin call, so this sale was forced and probably came close to wiping him out financially, if not completely. His cost was certainly well above the sale price and it was the first and only insider sale since the FDA approval letter. How we feel about this biotech company that prior to the FDA approvable letter was much loved and a darling of the street has more to do with the fact that they are selling close to breakup value and at a level that attributes no value to their IP and pipeline that actually does give this company a future, and has a value that should be eventually reflected in a stock price some what higher than current levels.
