RBC: Sell Gold Positions Now; Buy During Summer [view article]
Good idea if you only follow charts but the fundimentals for the dollar are dangerous. I'll just hold through the summer. ReplyRBC: Sell Gold Positions Now; Buy During Summer [view article]
Garbage by RBC. We're not looking at average cycles for anything this year. ReplyRBC: Sell Gold Positions Now; Buy During Summer [view article]
Robert Prector has followed the Elliot Wave analysis of US dollar gold prices over long historic periods. See his book "At the Crest of the Tidal-Wave" for many good graphs and an ongoing Elliot wave projections. The downward correction in US dollar gold prices has ended in 1999 at $270.00 to the ounce. A major upward wave began at that time. That wave is still in process according the Elliot wave picture it portrays on a graph. We have that picture on a click spot on our site if you will go to commodities and then the Moore click spot and then pick gold.Another pattern to notice is that gold prices and gold mining stock prices expressed in US dollars tend to rise for 2 years after the US Federal Reserve bank cuts interest rates dramatically after increasing them over a 3 or 4 year period.

Who says investing in GE is good? Look at their stock and it's recent earnings. Don't touch it now. ReplyUnder The Radar News - Thursday [view article]
I thought that it is interesting that New York State has passed their budget that included forcing out of state online retailers to collect tax at the time of purchase (where they obviously did not in the past). They seem to call this the "Amazon tax", but will affect all retailers. It seems that the American Booksellers Association and other retail councils want to entend this to every state to "even the playing field". This is the beginning of an interesting trend. It's old news !!!! ReplyUnder The Radar News - Thursday [view article]
Concerning: "Indian credit card issuer SBI, a joint venture between GE (GE) and State Bank of India, had a default rate of 16.28% as of year-end, likely the worst in the industry."Worse is relative: If you're invested in GE, that's GREAT News.

Hi FP:Some pullback points that may balance the double digit losses that many of us have in this market and reiterateā¦if those who have spare money left:
Fcx, Pcu: excellent companies: if these pullback to $70s.
MT:solid company & pe among the lowest in industry: pullsback to $60s
another name/symbol to consider:
X: PE 17.09, PEG ~1.11, Mcap 13.49B, divd. US steel is having an excellent run. If pulls back to low $90s. Keep an eye on the earning reports here.

Benioff approached Cisco last October so this is old news. Given the Webex deal was done in 10 days and that they are now pitching Oracle it doesn't look good for a Cisco/Salesforce marriage ReplyUnder The Radar News - Monday [view article]
It seem strange to speculate that there is any reason for a corporate marriage for such a successful company in a growing market segment, but perhaps the reports of scalability issues and doubts in Salesforce ability to resolve these issues in a timely manner are a root of these rumors. "eBay (EBAY) is looking to make its affiliate marketing an in-house venture. If it succeeds, eBay could dump ValueClick's (VCLK) Commission Junction."Doesn't Amazon do it's own affiliate marketing? You'd have thought this is a core competency for a company like eBay. Reply

Correction:Perhaps, when MT pulls back to $60s is relatively a good entry point :) Reply
Mining M&A Frenzy Continues [view article]
Some have asked when they can buy these securities. For FCX, PCU, and MT, a good entry point could be when they pullback to $80s.Tie is in the mid 20s and if it pulls back buy few points. All of these four are possibly very good investments. Reply
